Over the past three years I have been fortunate enough to travel across 14 countries and roughly 12 States. During this span I have literally slept everywhere. Hotels, motels, inns, hostels, train stations, airports, condos, bed and breakfasts – you name it.

The over-riding conclusion I have arrived at during the course of my (sleepless) travels: Chain Hotels Suck!

Not that there is anything particularly wrong with them, it’s just that they are all, well, the same. The same food, the same service, the same flowery duvet covers, the same overpriced luxuries… After you’ve been on the road for a while they can get tiring in a hurry.
