BigContacts.com - Atlanta, GA

According to Tracy Byrd, it’s “4 to 1 in Atlanta.” Four girls for every guy. So if you are a Valley programmer looking for a better scene, why not give Atlanta a try? If you do, you’ll need some way to keep track of all the girls you meet, and that’s where one Atlanta startup can help.
BigContacts is a full featured, web based, AJAX driven contact manager. The site was built by entrepreneur Paul Freet when he bought a copy of ACT and realized the market needed something significantly better. BigContacts has a fully populated demo you can use to evaluate the software, and after playing around with it, I signed up for a free account to try it for real. The entry level is free, and the business packages are a great value when stacked up against the competition. And it has cool features I’ve never seen before, like the “contact cloud.”

Maybe it’s not made to serve as a little black book, but that’s ok. It works fine as a business contact manager too. We don’t have all the information to give BigContacts an OTV score, but you can read a little about the company’s history here. Founder Paul Freet is a great example of successful serial entrepreneurship outside of the valley.
