MasterMoz - Social Networking Meets Web Directory

By Rob | May 14, 2007

Mastermoz is a web directory like Yahoo or Dmoz, but with a twist. Mastermoz puts you in control of your own listing, so that it will be more accurate, and keeps track of your social networking information and reputation. The idea is that better accuracy and a good reputation lead to more credibility online. In a world full of splogs and black hat SEO, MasterMoz wants to help lift your site above the rest and show that you are serious and offer quality information.

We don’t have enough information to give MasterMoz an OTV score, but the company is based in New York and Arizona, and doesn’t appear to have any proprietary technology, so they would most likely score pretty high.

    To clarify details about MasterMOZ.com.

MasterMOZ includes a patent pending rating engine, that allows paid members to assess the accuray of specific listings. The assement process is called “reviewing”.

If a member reviews something as inaccurate the owner of the reviewed site must revise their listing, or be de-listed.

The rating and review process controls the quality and accuracy of listings.

For details you can go to www.mastermoz.com and click the “what’s the buzz” link.
