Trailfire.com - Discover The Web Through The Expertise of Others
By Rob | May 15, 2007
Seattle based TrailFire is sort of like Squidoo in that it aims to show you the way to the web without using a search engine. Users create “trails” around a topic, which is basically a list of sites that you can navigate to learn more about that topic. People can add to your trail, comment on your trail, and all that other social networking type of goodness. At the moment, the site doesn’t contain advertising, but I assume that is the business model for something like this.
The was founded by John O’Halloran and Patrick Ferrel, entreprneurs with excellent resumes and previous experience on the web startup scene. The Washington Research Foundation, Voyager Capital, and angel investors have funded the project thus far.
