LessonPortal.com - Fredericksburg, VA
By Rob | May 22, 2007
LessonPortal.com is exactly what it sounds like, and CEO Chris Hoovler is not afraid to dream big about his site. The stated goal is “more teachers helping more students than any other site in the world.” The site has a blog, and the business model is the every popular “freemium,” but other than that, the site isn’t very Web 2.0. Chris believes that free listings will help the site acheive the critical mass it needs to be successful.
I searched my zip code (40207) and only found one teacher. This is the kind of site that might be better if advertised on a local level.
